Presentation Tips

Simple tips for a more impactful workshop

DO…

  • Use images, charts, & simple graphics
  • Focus on key messages and takeaways
  • Keep your audience in mind (mixed backgrounds)
  • Practice your timing
  • Engage the audience & encourage discussion
  • Think about how the workshop can be interactive

DON’T…

  • Overload slides with text or data
  • Read your slides verbatim
  • Use small fonts or hard-to-read color combinations
  • Include proprietary information without permission
  • Go significantly over your allotted time
